SM Pro Audio Launches New Pro Audio Equipment Range
March 8, 2001SM (Sound & Music) Pro Audio has released preliminary
information about its new professional audio product line. Two distinct series of products (DSP & Analog) will be showcased at the largest musical
instrument trade show in the world "Musikmesse 2001" , held in Frankfurt, Germany.
The premier line features six new product releases including:
SM FX01 "PRISM" – 24-bit DSP Multi-Effects unit with Digital I/O
SM VFX01 "VOCALIST" – 24-bit DSP Voice Processor/mixer with Digital I/O
SM EQ01 "STYLER" – Dual 31 Band 24-bit DSP Multi-Band EQ with Digital I/O
SM DI8 – 8CH Direct Injection Unit/Stereo Line Mixer
SM PR8 – 8 CH Microphone pre-amplifier with independent phantom power earth lift
SM HP4 – 4 Channel Headphone Amplifier/Audio distribution unit
When John Fuller (Product Manager) from SM Pro Audio was asked about the new product releases
he said, "We are really excited about the SM Pro Audio launch. There has been a lot of interest
already in a high quality product at an affordable price. People have been telling us what they
need………and we decided to meet that need with a new product line of our own."
SM Pro Audio will also be showing the full range of ST Audio expandable 24-bit 96kHz recording
packages for PC. The new "C-Port" 10 CH I/O will be on display featuring built in mic pre-amps,
headphone amp, 32 chan MIDI interface along with all the additional optional external rackmount
units.
