Sabian Adds Aggressive HHXtreme Crash to New Line

SABIAN Ltd. has added the HHXtreme Crash to its new HHX cymbal series. Combining the explosive output of a thin crash with the simmering white-noise bite of a Chinese cymbal, the HHXtreme Crash delivers a highly aggressive attack with a raw undercurrent of oriental roar. Hand crafted from SABIAN secret-process B20 bronze, this cymbal features a raw, unlathed bell for increased projection and effectiveness.

Commented SABIAN Product Specialist Mark Love: "The HHXtreme Crash is explosive and dirty sounding, like a combination crash and Chinese cymbal. It's got a warm tone with a deep and dark character that is both musical and menacing. Hand crafted to a thin, medium-high profile from SABIAN's secret-process B20 bronze, the HHXtreme Crash features a raw, unlathed bell and a surface that is dimpled with super-size hammer marks. This special surface texturing shapes the cymbal's sound by increasing its tonal complexity and boosting the raw, oriental side of its response. Available in 16", 17", 18", and 19" sizes, the larger HHXtreme models offer the greater degree of aggression within their sound.
