Behringer Introduces GM110 Vintager Analog Modeling Combo

March 20, 2002

With the new VINTAGER GM110 Guitar Combo (price tba), BEHRINGER introduces a 30-Watt analog modeling guitar combo with speaker simulation and direct out. The vintage-style combo is able to reproduce the tonal qualities of some well-known guitar amps.

The GM110 houses three classic amp models, three speaker simulation models and three gain modes, all individually selectable for a total of 27 basic settings, and all based on pure analog circuitry with no digital components. Like most BEHRINGER guitar combos and cabinets, the GM110 employs an original Jensen vintage-type speaker -- here a 10" 35-Watt model that bestows a powerful and well-defined sound in all modeling modes.

BEHRINGER's DYNAMIZER circuitry captures every nuance of the guitarist's playing style and adds tube-like compression and harmonics to the tone. A wide-range drive control guarantees fat high-gain sounds even with single-coil type pickups, and the powerful 3-band EQ and master level control enables extremely effective tweaking of sounds.

For direct recording or connection of an external power amp, a balanced direct out with XLR connector and ground lift switch delivers the full preamplified sound including all amp, speaker, gain mode, drive, EQ and level settings. In addition, a serial effects loop allows integration of external effects processors. The 8-Ohm speaker out with automatic internal speaker mute function lets guitarists add external cabinets for an even more powerful sound. A heavy-duty power supply rarely found in amps this size ensures excellent response without the usual "choking" in high power situations.
