BEHRINGER introduced the acoustic instrument amplifier ULTRACOUSTIC ACX1000 (price tba). The new ACX1000 offers numerous professional features for the ultimate in acoustic instrument amplification. With full two-channel operation, 120 Watts of stereo power and 99 digital multi-effect programs voiced at BEHRINGER's in-house digital lab, the ULTRACOUSTIC is capable of accurately and powerfully reproducing the sound characteristics of guitars, mandolins, violins, voice or almost any other signal source.

The instrument channel produces warm and transparent sound for transducer-equipped instruments and features a great-sounding active 3-band EQ plus attack and FX send controls and two adjustable notch filters for feedback suppression. The microphone/line channel provides a first-class balanced microphone input with phantom power plus a line input for a second instrument or other sound source and the same EQ and feedback filters. In addition, the unit sports a specially developed tube simulation circuit on both channels with a warmth control that allows to add tube-type harmonics at will and a vintage-style VU meter, which displays the amount of added harmonics. Also featured is a master volume control with switchable phase correction.

The ULTRACOUSTIC's 24-bit stereo multi-effects unit offers 24 algorithms in 99 programs specifically developed for acoustic instruments and vocals, including delay, chorus, flanger, reverb, rotary speaker, stereo panning and tremolo to name but a few, as well as various combinations. The effects sends adjusted with dedicated controls per channel and stored in 4 presets for easy front-panel or footswitch selection.

In addition to the quad footswitch, the ACX1000 provides a MIDI interface, which allows remote control from an external sequencer or any other MIDI controller. The adjustable stereo aux input allows easy connection of drum machines, sound cards or any other external stereo source. A compressor, octaver or any other external signal processor can be connected via the ULTRACOUSTIC's parallel and serial input paths. The stereo headphone output allows silent practice with FX and backing tracks, while a separate stereo line out provides an easy path to an external live mixer or recording console. A special parallel output facilitates the connection of tuners and adds to the amp's comprehensive feature set.

The ULTRACOUSTIC ACX1000 comes with a sturdy metal quad footswitch for effects switching and features BEHRINGER's renowned build quality for years of trouble-free service.
