With 20 years of Bass amplification manufacturing and a decade of string manufacturing experience, Ashdown has introduced the "Wide Boys" range, a simple range of Stainless Steel or Nickel round wound strings.
Consistent tension winding to ensure each string feels right with the rest of your set. Longer life, less internal stress strings. Your strings are stored FLAT at Ashdown's premises until ordered at which point they are hand packed and shipped to customers. This process is undertaken in each country representing Ashdown strings in an effort to keep your strings as straight, flat and stress free as possible until you want to use them.
The strings are put into a 100% recyclable tin case; the strings are not wound as tightly in the tin container as they would be in a normal cardboard carton, thus allowing for less internal stress and tension in each string.
For the environmentally minded people, you can mail back the string cans to your local distributor as shown on Ashdown's web site.
