TerraTecs PHASE 28 Offers 24-bit/192kHz I/O March 8, 2003
Sporting two inputs and eight outputs, a MIDI interface, and digital I/Os designed for a variety of uses, PHASE 28 features plenty of ports for all audio applications on a specially shielded break-put cable. Configured as balanced 6-3 mm (1/4") jacks, all analog connectors are designed to accept studio levels and signal resolutions of up to 24 bits / 192 kHz. Selected converters and cleverly designed circuitry enable recordists to make crystal-clear stereo recordings and play back high-resolution 5.1/7.1 Surround productions. Gain knobs serve to adjust input sensitivity individually to match analog signal sources. Two signal LEDs make it easy to dial in suitable levels for the preamp.
The PHASE 28's coaxial digital ports accept S/PDIF, AC3, and DTS data streams with all standard sampling rates up to 32 bits. What's more, the output is designed to handle sampling frequencies up to 192 kHz.
Be it ASIO 2.0, GSIF, MME, WDM, MAC OS9, MAC OSX, or Windows XP, the PHASE 28's software integrates seamlessly into all prevalent systems and programs.
PHASE 28 will be available in Q2.
