MM: Behringer Introduces MIC100 Tube Preamp

With the TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC100 (USD 49.99 MSRP), Behringer unveils their tube-based sound-enhancing tool for studio, live and hard disk recording applications. With its hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube featuring UTC technology for increased warmth and low noise, the MIC100 is intended to complement studio-grade condenser mics. It can also be used as a general DI-box.

The TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC100 features low-noise microphone preamp circuitry that uses discrete components for transparent sound, phase reverse function, phantom power supply, LED meter and a switchable pad function. In combination with proprietary BEHRINGER UTC tube technology, the preamp yields low-noise and low-distortion properties. The MIC100 can also be used as a DI-box or to add warmth to standard digital recorders and sound cards.

The ULTRAGAIN MIC100 will ship in Q2 2003.
