MM: Evolution 900 Series Mics Introduced

March 09, 2003

e 903
e 945 and e 935

Electro-acoustics specialist Sennheiser adds top end models to its most successful microphone series: the evolution 900 Series. Three wired mics in this professional stage range will be available in May: the e 935 and e 945 vocal microphones as well as the e 903 instrument mic.

"The Sennheiser 900 Series of wired microphones ensures absolutely professional quality for the stage - at the attractive evolution price," says Michael Polten, Sennheiser's Industry Team Manager for the music industry. "These evolution mics are especially attractive for rental companies and professional musicians. They easily cut through high on-stage sound levels, feature a fast transient response and are highly insensitive to feedback thanks to their optimized frequency response."

Both vocal mics are well designed to exclude handling noise and their 100% metal casing will take all the inevitable knocks on stage. The e 935 is cardioid and the e 945 super-cardioid.

The e 903 mic has been specially developed for snare drums. Accentuating the high frequencies, this cardioid mic captures the full sound direct from the drum. The e 903 has a high maximum sound pressure level and excellent transient response, so the impressive snare sound is reproduced with direct impact.
