New from Universal Audio is the UAD-1
Project Pak, consisting of a PCI DSP card and v3.5 powered plug-in bundle for Mac
and PC native DAW systems.
The UAD-1 Project Pak includes the
UAD-1 PCI/PCI-X DSP card and v3.5 software which includes a
collection of 15 Universal Audio plug-ins including: the 1176SE
vintage compressor, the Pultec EQP-1A classic EQ, RealVerb Pro, Nigel
guitar processor, EX-1 EQ & Compressor, the DM-1 Delay Modulator and
the CS-1 Channel Strip. The CS-1 itself includes a collection of
plug-ins developed specifically for the UAD-1, including EQ,
compression, delay modulation, and reflection engine modules. Nigel
is also a suite of plug-ins, including the Pre-flex amp and speaker
cabinet modeler, echo, delay modulation, tremolo, modulation filter,
compressor/gate and phasor. As with the CS-1, these components can
be used together or separately. The UAD-1 Project Pak can expanded
online at my.uaudio.com where users can purchase additional
plug-ins such as the LA-2A, 1176LN, Cambridge EQ, Dreamverb and
Fairchild 670.

The UAD-1 Project Pak is compatible with Win 98SE/ME/2k/XP/2003 and
Mac OS9/OSX/Panther and supports VST, AU, DX & MAS plug-in formats.
The UAD-1 Project Pak will be available at Authorized Universal Audio
Dealers worldwide for a MSRP of US$ 499 in April 2004.
