PRESS RELEASE
K-System Meter Added to RME's DIGICheck Tool
April 05, 2004
Advertisement DIGICheck, RME's audio analysis tool, is now available in version 4.1 as free download. It works with all RME cards. Besides an improved look, version 4.1 includes numerous new setting options for the level meters. By means of a freely scalable reference, the scale's zero point can be moved. A third display color offers better readability. With these expansions, DIGICheck is now compatible with mastering-guru Bob Katz's K-system. The K-system can be combined with RME's oversampling for real overload detection. In this case, the scale is extended by 3 dB at the upper end. There are direct recall of all necessary settings with dedicated buttons in the Level Meter Setup, various display options like separate and combined peak/RMS display, a special slow mode, which allows for an even better loudness visualisation within the RMS-bar, RMS peak-hold markers, 8 channel display, direct switching between different scales without losing the other scales' settings and more.
