New BassKick Series Combos from Hughes & Kettner

April 10, 2005 Hughes & Kettner launched the new BassKick series compact amps at this year's Musikmesse show, consisting of three combos ranging from 100 to 300 Watts in power.
All BassKick power amps are equipped with Hughes&Kettner's DynaClip technology, a circuit that prevents undesirable distortion at threshold levels and extends headroom even further. And for an extra kick, players need only reach for the compressor on the two bigger BassKick models.
BassKick series preamps are based in part on the technologies found in the company's top-of-the-range Quantum line. The Tube Touch input circuit treats players to the responsiveness and feel of a classic tube amp, while sound shaping is provided by the Pure Parallel EQ.
The 15" woofers in BassKick models were developed in close cooperation with the engineers at Eminence's sonic foundry and tweaked to match the amps' and enclosures' tonal characteristics. HF horns are on board to add harmonics to the spectrum.
