Messe: Wizoo Announces Reverb Plug-In

New for the Frankfurt Musikmesse show is W2 from Wizoos new WizooVerb series of reverbs.

Like the big surround brother W5 (following in June), W2 allows creating room emulations either based on impulse responses or by a proprietary algorithm – and even allows for arbitrary combination of both technologies. Existing impulse responses can be loaded and using Wizoo's proprietary algorithm, optimized.

W2 will run both standalone and as a plug-in, supporting VST, AudioUnit, and RTAS formats.

W2 will be available by the end of April at $249 MSRP.

Coming in June 2005 is the W5, a 5.1 surround reverb with FX section and 10 new HDIR models. MSRP: $449.

• VST 2.0- or RTAS-compatible host software (not required for stand-alone operation)
• DVD ROM disk drive for installation
