Onboard Research Showcases Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzers
March 29, 2006
Advertisement Beatnik™ Rhythmic Analyzers help percussionists improve rhythmic and timing accuracy in ways never before possible. More than a metronome, Beatnik's five analyzers each evaluate a unique aspect of a drummer's skills, and its multiple views of the timing data instantly reveal technical strengths and weaknesses to help a drummer develop a great feel and perfect accuracy. Beatnik's touch sensitive input collects the timing of every stroke, its large backlit graphic display shows a visual representation of each stroke in real time with accuracy to the nearest 512th note, and its computer memory records the timing information of each stroke for summary reviews of stroke accuracy. Beatnik can even analyze a drummer's transitions between changing subdivisions and display separate historical accuracy summaries for each of the subdivisions played. The Beatnik RA1200P features five built in analyzers, four data views and a large custom, backlit graphic display, adjustable skill levels, real time accuracy scoring, click depth control, tap start, tap tempo, headphone jack, a built in 25-250 bpm metronome capable of playing any permutation of note, 1/8th notes, 1/8th note triplets, 1/16th notes, 5-over-1, 1/16th note triplets, 7-over-1 and 32nd notes and an advanced polymer practice pad. It is lightweight and operates on AA batteries or optional AC adapter. $189 MSRP. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.tuners.com/.
