Alesis E-Practice Pad Makes Practicing Drums Fun

April 01, 2009

Alesis announces the e-Practice Pad, the most fun way to practice the drums. The e-Practice Pad will make its debut in Alesis' stand, B 21 in Hall 5.0 at Musikmesse, April 1 - 4, 2009. Held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Musikmesse is the world's largest fair for musical instruments, live music and the music business.

The Alesis e-Practice Pad is the fun way to learn and practice the drums. This electronic drum pad has 65 different drum sounds, a built-in metronome with six different sounds and more than 50 practice games and exercises. Drummers will find playing the e-Practice Pad to be fun and rewarding. It feels natural, its sounds are inspiring and it gives drummers a full range of dynamics from the lightest touches through the loudest accents.

Drummers simply plug in their headphones and play silently, or plug into an instrument amplifier or PA system and play along with other musicians. Drummers can play tabletop or mount the e-Practice Pad on a standard cymbal stand or snare drum stand. When not using the e-Practice Pad as a traditional practice tool, drummers can use it as a self-contained electronic percussion pad at the drumset to expand its range of sounds.

Unlike a standard pad, the e-Practice Pad has an advanced metronome built in with six different sounds and the ability to play nearly any note value or subdivision in the time signature of the user's choice. Drummers can hone their accuracy and precision with the e-Practice Pad's more-than-50 technique games and learning features that include Beat Check, Stroke Balance, recording and playback. The e-Practice Pad helps the drummer grow, and develop timing, dynamics and consistency.

Drummers can run the e-Practice Pad on batteries for portability or on wall power with the included adapter. They can add bass drum and hi-hat pedals using Alesis Expansion Pedals or nearly any other footswitch.

"The e-Practice Pad makes learning your rudiments fun," said Jim Norman, Product Manger, Alesis.

The e-Practice Pad will be available from musical instrument and professional audio retailers Q3, 2009.
