Steinberg Updates Plug-Ins for Multiple Platforms September 26, 1997
Steinberg GmbH, the market leader of music software companies on both the
Macintosh and Windows platforms, today announced four updated Plug-Ins developed by Steinberg Spectral Designs.
Steinberg has developed, established and extended their Plug-In architecture for four different platforms: Digidesign TDM
Systems (Pro Tools 4.0), Steinberg WaveLab, Cubase VST for Power MAC and Microsoft's DirectX (the interface formerly
known as Active Movie).
Steinberg Spectral Design are well known for beautifully designed user interfaces, intuitive instruments and highest quality of
results. Steinberg Spectral Design improved the established range of Plug-Ins. Updates are free and all the Plug-Ins will be
available at Steinberg dealers nationwide during Q4, 1997 for a MSRP of US $399.
Spectralyzer VST MAC- Now this sonic optimizer is available for Cubase VST Power MAC for realtime use. Other platforms
include TDM, WaveLab and DirectX. For realtime performance a 604 CPU/132 Mhz processor or faster is recommended.
Denoiser 1.5 for VST MAC, WaveLab, DirectX - This adaptive denoising Plug-In is now able to autodetect the noise floor of
any audio material and will produce a fingerprint with a freeze function. Version 1.5 will be available shortly after AES. The
update is free of charge.
Loudness Maximizer is now available for TDM-Systems. It is PCI-only with full Pro Tools 4.0 support. Other platforms are
WaveLab, DirectX and VST MAC. The new Version is also available for the use with Digidesign AudioSuite as well.
DeClicker 1.2 supports WaveLab, DirectX, VST MAC, TDM (Pro Tools 4.0). The important improvement lies in the fact that
the quality of results and ease of use has been further increased. The declicking algorithm works even smoother and more
