DAL Ships V8 Digital Audio Platform for PC

Digital Audio Labs is proud to announce shipment of the long awaited V8 multitrack digital audio workstation system for PC compatibles. This highly modular hardware platform features a Main Board with an upgradeable DSP architecture and a wide variety of input and output options, including interfaces for ADAT and DA-88 machines and compatibles. In its base configuration, the V8 is capable of recording and playing up to 16 discrete tracks depending on system throughput. A powerful automated mixing architecture and flexible patching and routing matrix complete the system. Pricing starts at approximately $2500.
Application and DSP plug-in software for the V8 system is available entirely from DAL's Audio Gearhead(TM) Partners. Products from these third party developers that comply with the V8's programming interface will earn the Audio Gearhead Approved seal, insuring that it will work smoothly with the V8 hardware and other Gearhead Approved software. Companies currently working on application and plug-in software for the V8 include KS Waves, Minnetonka Software, Cakewalk Music Software and Wave Mechanics.
