June 21, 1999 Power Technology has announced the addition of
a new plug-in, the Stereo Widener, to the DSP-FX Virtual Pack Plug-In bundle,
which can be used with DirectX compatible applications, SAW, Winamp, or for standalone
processing of live audio and .wav files. To celebrate the release of the new plug-in,
Power Technology is also offering a special price on the Virtual Pack of $259,
which is $40 off the regular price of $299. This special deal runs until July
6, 1999.
The Stereo Widener allows you to enhance and manipulate the stereo content
of both full mixes and individual vocal or instrumental tracks that have been
recorded with stereo miking techniques. In fact, the Widener actually lets you
"virtually readjust" the microphone placement without re-recording the
track, allowing you to get a smoother stereo image.
The DSP-FX Virtual Pack now includes a total of 12 plug-ins including the StudioVerb,
AcousticVerb, Optimizer, Pitch Shifter, Analog-Tape Flanger, Multi-Element Chorus,
Tremolo, Auto-Panner, Parametric EQ, Multi-Tap Delay, and Aural Activator mastering
tools. You can download a demo version of the DSP-FX Virtual Pack and receive
a free fully functioning 8-Tap Delay Plug-In.
