Owners of Allen & Heath I-CON
DP1000 and DL1000 digital live mixers can now upgrade to the new V2.0 control
software. The consoles' internal compressors and gates can now be viewed on a
per-channel basis, providing more editable parameters for precision control. Extra
effects presets have been added to the FX1 internal processor, whilst FX2's reverbs
have benefited from an overhaul. Footpedal control of the effects processors has
been improved to cover any parameter or channel volume. MIDI control has also
been extended to allow remote access to all performance parameters.
Use of the I-CON's memory functions has been further simplified by the addition
of confirm screens, extended copy, paste, reset and undo functions, and by rotary
and cursor acceleration. To widen the console's appeal to users such as schools
and hire companies, the control isolation Safe function has been extended and
three different user modes have been added, providing varying degrees of sophistication
and access.
V2.01 can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Allen & Heath website,
along with a Windows PC archiver application which allows I-CON users to reload
previous settings to their console after the upgrade.
