E-mu Lowers Price of Orbit and Phatt Sound
Modules
March 15, 1999
E-MU SYSTEMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative
Technology, Ltd., has announced a change in the price of two of their most popular
sound modules: Orbit V2 and Planet Phatt. Effective February 25, 1999, the price
of both modules has been lowered to $795, a $300 price reduction from the original
$1095 retail price.
The new price point was made possible through a new cooperative arrangement
with the manufacturing and purchasing groups of Creative Technology, Ltd., the
parent company of E-MU SYSTEMS. "This new price point ($795) is in line with
the recent price reduction of our new Proteus 2000 module ($995), and is an
example of E-MU SYSTEMS commitment to a low cost, high value product line,"
notes EMU-ENSONIQ® CEO, Don Scott. "We are fortunate to be able to leverage
Creative's efficiencies and pass the savings on to our customers."
