Pawar Guitars Adds Bigsby Vibrato to Turn of the Century Guitar
October 19, 1999
Pawar Guitars has made the Bigsby B5 Vibrato Tailpiece available on
all of their Turn
of the Century Models. "We explored several tremolo options, but nothing
sounds and feels quite like a Bigsby," says Jay Pawar, Vice-President of
Research & Development for Pawar Guitars. The Bigsby models will come standard
with a roller bridge and a "couple of tricks that we do by hand to ensure
the guitar will stay in tune," according to Pawar. "We have a Bigsby
model being played locally by a gigging musician and he has been very enthusiastic
in reporting how well his guitar stays in tune."
The Turn of the Century Stage (pictured) features a maple top with a "Copper
Tan" finish, a light weight Swamp Ash back with a "Translucent Ivory"
finish, a maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard. The Bigsby Stage has an MSRP of
$3,200 and features the Pawar Positive Tone System, the system that offers "all
of your favorite tones in one guitar." Pawar Guitars does not sell direct
to the public. Five year exclusive retail territories are being offered to qualified
retailers on a first come first served basis.
