Studio Pro Guitar Combo from Spirit Amplifiers
December 21, 2000Spirit begins their Studio Pro with a 3/4 inch thick solid pine case, rabbet jointed and glued for strength. This tone wood is sealed and protected with alcohol-based shellac, the same as that used on violins and other fine instruments. The cabinet is custom fit with a tough exterior hide, painstakingly hand-stretched and glued. Stainless steel screws fasten the 8 nickel corner protectors, as well as the classic leather handle and 4 large rubber feet. The high-density plywood baffle board is fastened to the case with T-nut and screw construction.
The hand-made 10 inch alnico speaker is made to rigid Spirit specs by Weber V.S.T. The chassis is 18 gauge steel coated with zinc for protection. It is then powder-painted and baked for a porcelain-tough finish. The graphics are silk-screened for lasting beauty.
