WAVES LTD., a supplier of DSP software
for the professional audio and multimedia markets, has announced the release of
the C4 Multiband Parametric Processor for Native Platforms. Originally released
exclusively for the Digidesign Mix System the C4 is now available for Native Platforms
including RTAS, Premiere, MAS and VST on the MacOS and Direct-X and VST on Windows.
The C4 Multiband Parametric Processor harnesses the compression design from the
TEC nominated Renaissance Compressor including the ARC, Electro and Opto bands.
"We have always wanted to create a multiband dynamics processor worthy of
the Waves name. The C4 represents the kind of attention to detail and quality
our users have come to expect," says Orly Nesher C.O.O. of Waves. "Until
recently, the state of DSP technology did not allow us to create the C4. The power
of the MIX system has opened the door for this powerful new product."
Key Features of the C4 Multiband Parametric Processor include transparent cross-over
design with global adjustable Q; true parametric control including independent
threshold, range, gain, attack, release and bandwidth per band; flexible design
allows compression; expansion or EQ independent of the functions of the other
bands; adjustable global knee control; bit precision dithered to a 24 bit output.
Founded
in 1988, Waves maintains simultaneous operation of offices in Israel and the United
States.
