Ampcast.com Becomes
Listen.com Content PartnerPay-per-download royalty system and affordable digital media encoding to be
followed by more service offerings this summer. August 26, 2000
Ampcast.com, a leading provider of online
music entertainment, has launched a comprehensive royalty program and
affordable digital video encoding and distribution service today for musical
artists. Ampcast.com, in response to requests from the online artist
community to provide more added value services, has become a Listen.com
content partner to promote its members works and plans to introduce more
artist empowering services over the summer.
The first artist empowering service to be introduced is the Ampcash online
artist royalty program. Beginning today, artists promoting their music on
Ampcast.com will receive a royalty each time their music is downloaded.
Artists now have a means to generate revenue through Ampcast.com while
taking advantage of freely distributing their music to a global audience.
Additionally, as its second artist empowering service, Ampcast.com is
introducing affordable services of digital encoding and on-demand
distribution of videos online. Members of Ampcast.coms artistic community
will be able to take advantage of significantly more cost effective encoding
services than industry standard pricing. Users of the encoding services
will also be able to take advantage of Ampcast.com to host their digital
content in their online marketing efforts for their music.
Ampcast.com has also become a content partner with Listen.com, the webs
comprehensive guide to online music, to increase members exposure.
Listen.com is very pleased to be working with Ampcast.coms artist
community, said Mike Tatum, Listen.com's vice president of business
development. We aim to provide fast and easy access to Ampcast.com artists
through our directory so that fans will discover and download their music.
It has become clear in talking to the members of our community that
burgeoning artists need more than the traditional online music model being
promoted today, says Erik Briceno, COO of Ampcast.com. Ampcast.com
intends to respond. Starting with Ampcash, the highest paying
download-based royalty program for freely distributed music on the Web, and
the valuable promotional opportunity presented by Listen.com, we are raising
the bar for empowering artists with online services.
The upcoming artist empowering services will include expanded online mail
and list management features for artists to communicate with their fans and
free printable templates for promotional materials among others. Artists interested in getting paid for downloads of their songs may sign up
for the artist royalty program at www.Ampcast.com. |
