The CronoX (previously announced as the Omega) is the third member of LinPlug's GakStoar family. It offers typical
GakStoar features like many modulation options as well as new features like the Sample
Oscillator and Sound Shaping Delay unit.
The CronoX Sample Synthesizer features a classic analog-style oscillator and a unique sample oscillator.
The Sample Oscillator loads WAV or AIFF files (up to 24-bit / 96kHz). The Sample can then be time
stretched independent of its pitch, and pitch shifted independent of its length, all in
realtime.
This 24-voice polyphonic synth routes the oscillators through an analogue modelled multimode filter. As
modulation sources it offers three ADSFR envelopes (like ADSR plus an additional Fade parameter
when sustain is reached) and two well equipped LFOs. Of course all common controllers are supported.
Beside these sample processing and modulation options one will find many more unique
features: A complete syncable delay section per sound program, a Spread parameter allowing you to play
Polyphonic Unisono sounds with low CPU usage and the LinPlug ECS for setting up
MIDI controllers.
Timing is sample accurate and automation and postprocessing functions of VST2.0
compatible sequencers are supported.
System requirements: A VST2.0 capable sequencer software and a PC with at least 266MHz
The Crono Sample Synthesizer is available at the LinPlug online shop. The price is US$45. A free demo is available. For more information, visit their web site at www.linplug.com. |
