Zildjian has announced the addition of the 8", 10" & 12" Dark Splashes and 14" K. Custom Special Dry HiHats to the successful K. Custom cymbal range.
The new Splashes are the first of their kind in the K. Custom cymbal range.
Zildjian's K. Custom cast cymbal ranges are designed to provide more clarity with a quicker attack and faster decay than traditional K. Zildjians. At a very thin weight these Splashes are extremely light and fast. The new K. Custom Splashes utilize an exclusive combination of
K. Zildjian hammering and modern techniques like over-hammering combined with a fine lathing pattern of narrow and symmetrical grooves which stiffens the cymbal and enhances its dry sound. The all-new K. Custom Dark Splashes are available in popular 8", 10" and 12" sizes which enable drummers in Contemporary Jazz and Studio situations to vary their 'K' Sounds.

The 14" K. Custom Special Dry HiHats posses a new HiHat sound created through an exclusive combination of radical new hammering and lathing techniques. Using the same innovative techniques as the recently released and extremely popular, K. Custom Special Dry Ride, these cymbals are hammered using a combination of K. Custom and Re-Mix range processes. It is fully lathed underneath, yet "scored" on top using a new lathing tool and technique. A totally unique sound. They have a brighter stick sound that speaks with a bolder more authoritative voice than other K. Custom HiHats. These HiHats are extremely dark and dry, but have a clean "chick" sound for a variety of musical situations.
