May 14, 2001TASCAM has announced that their MX-2424 24-track,
24-bit hard disk recorder will support the Sony P-2 9-Pin
protocol. This new feature will enable transport control and track
arming in high-end systems via an interface familiar to users of
those products.
9-pin support on the MX-2424 will allow it to directly work with a much wider variety of large format mixers
and controllers, especially in the post production environment, says Jim Bailey, TASCAM senior product
specialist. Since the MX-2424s release, weve received many requests for 9-pin control from the higher end
of our customer base, so were happy to be able to accommodate their needs with this update. Combined
with the new Version 2.0 software that offers 96kHz recording and playback, the professional users of the
MX-2424 should feel confident that their needs are being addressed.
The port on the MX-2424s rear panel used for its remote control interface will now also function as its 9-pin
input with no further equipment or modifications necessary. For more information, visit their web site at www.tascam.com. |
