Paladin Enterprises has released Maestro 2001 Version 2.0. This new release provides a complete foundation for live performance, learning, and composition. The feature set of Maestro 2001, includes a stage control system and arpeggiators emulating the Korg Z1.

In addition to triggering midi tracks and events, the stage control system provides a complete routing environment, mapping, and real-time controller links. For example, a single pitch bend on one input can drive any number of controllers on many outputs with independant range setting on each output. The same is true for track triggering, one note can trigger multiple tracks on or off. Plus most system parameters such as tempo, gate, gate, pattern loading, velocity offset, etc, can be driven via midi in real time.

Maestro's virtual guitar, and virtual keyboard views speed up learning. Setting a track to play, then opening the guitar view, shows chord and note fingering positions playing along with the song. The software solves for standard chord fingerings, and optimizes hand motion along the guitar neck. Slowing the tempo down slows down the display, making is easier to learn at a slower pace.

Maestro's learn to play keyboard view is another real-time view showing each note or chord's position on the keyboard.

The introductory price for the electronic version of Maestro 2001 V2.0 is $79..
