TC |Works has announced TC POWERCORE Version1.5, an open DSP
hardware platform for any VST recording application. The new version
provides PC compatibility and virtual instrument support among other
enhancements from the original POWERCORE package.
If broken into the technology components, the extensive collection of
included DSP Tools now provides 22 algorithms. The comprehensive new VoiceStrip Channel Strip Plug-In
alone integrates 6 algorithms!
With approximately 40% less native CPU-load per POWERCORE Plug-In,
POWERCORE 1.5 optimizes host performance even further.
"VST is a fantastic platform for audio production, as it is totally open
and supported by most major audio and sequencer products on Mac and PC -
that's what made the concept so successful. With TC POWERCORE we want to
elevate the user's system experience to a higher end sector of the
market", says Ralf Schluenzen, CEO of TC WORKS. "With the integration of
Virtual Instruments and Windows 98/2000/ME/XP support only 5 months
after initial ship on the Mac, we provide users of native systems with a
truly powerful and open DSP platform, finally realizing the quality and
predictability of a DSP-based platform, yet retaining the openness of
their VST environment", comments Schluenzen. A successful 3rd party
developer program is currently running with yet more POWERCORE Partners
positioning to develop for the platform in the near future.
German synth manufacturer Waldorf is the first 3rd party with D-Coder,
their Vocoder-Synth for TC POWERCORE.
POWERCORE 1.5 for Mac and PC will be shipping in December 2001. The
update is free of charge for registered users.
Retail price: $1299 US
