PowerFX Launches Online Sample Library

The sound portal www.powerfx.com will provide both professional and project facilities with cost effective sound solutions in a way that's organized and convenient. The site features content in an expanding array of file formats that are available to the user anytime from virtually anywhere. PowerFX president, Bil Bryant adds, "The new site allows users to access music samples and sound effects without having to order physical CDs. Instant access allows instant inspiration. Content creators now have the sounds they are looking for in seconds."
The new web portal is made of two parts: downloadable section and the PowerFX site, which offers traditional, packaged CDs. A free membership allows you to browse and search the online library, preview sounds, and build a list of favorites. Samples can then be purchased individually or you can purchase a membership allowing a specified number of downloads monthly.
In addition to PowerFX loops, the site will offer instant access to other sound designers and producers. The web site currently provides samples in a variety of formats to including, WAV, Acid, Aiff and shortly will include Akai multi-sample sound banks program and Sound Fonts for Sound blaster/EMU and Giga sampler formats.
The PowerFX portal is also accessible as an audio engine for companies looking to offer quality music, audio, and sounds in a searchable database through their existing web site. PowerFX is currently offering searchable music samples for CakeWalk (Club Tracks, SONAR) and has previously published content CDs for Sonic Foundry (ACID), IK Multimedia (Sample Tank) and Denon (dual mini disc library).
