New Release from Kid Nepro: Triton Vol #8 - Analog Heaven May 28, 2001Analog Heaven takes the Triton in a new direction. Vol #8 uses the
waveforms from the PCM Expansion Board EXB-PCM05; Vintage Archives (the
expansion board is required for you to use the programs and combos from
Vol #8).
Kid Nepro has created a mixed bag of sounds in Analog Heaven. Sort of
like Classic Synths meet Soundtrack and film mix. Korg did an outstanding
job with the new multi samples and gave the Patch King a selection
of classic synth samples to start with. The "Tape Samples" were used to
create many mellotron type patches as well as choir and string sounds.
The vocoder samples were used them to produce a
mix of choir and soundtrack type programs.
These new samples are a nice contrast from the factory samples for synth
and soundtrack type textures. Combining the factory waveforms and new
expansion waves together, Kid Nepro was able to create some
unique and far out textures. Not to be used on your next club date,
but highly useful for Classic Synth and Film/TV scores. As in most of Kid
Nepro's other Triton soundbanks, the effects and dual ARPs's were used
for rhythmic and special effects.
After working with the Triton for over a year the Patch King is still
amazed at the large variety of sonic possibilities that it has to offer.
Adding this expansion board greatly increases the pallet of sounds. Kid
Nepro would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at expanding the
Tritons sound variety.
