Kid Nepro Announces Triton Volume 6: Hip Hop/R&BFilled with new Drum Beats and Rhythmic Textures. February 4, 2001
Kid Nepro covered many sustained typed sounds in the first five volumes
and wanted to take the Triton in a different direction for Vol #6.
The
first 32 programs are all drum loops in the Hip Hop style that was made
famous by beat boxes like the MPC's, SP1200 and TR808. The Compressor and
EQ effects were used on many of the beats to pump up the kick drum and
give you that big boom kick that is used often in Hip Hop productions.
The next 16 programs are all Bass patches in a Hip Hop & R&B style. There
are lot's of "Miami Bass" and "Deep Sub Bass" sounds that you hear on
many of todays tracks. The remaining sustained sounds are made up of leads,
guitars, strings, e-pianos, organs and brass as well as orchestra hits.
These were programmed in a HH/R&B style and are used to play on top of
the drum beats in combo mode. The last 32 programs contains more Drum
Beats as well as "Bass Lines" and "Guitar Riffs".
With many of the combinations Kid Nepro Combined the drum beats, bass
lines, guitar riffs and sustained patches. From that, an entire Hip Hop
or R&B track can be easily created from one combo. Kid Nepro feels that
the Triton excels in many areas. Creating drum beats is one of them. The
dual ARP's are great at creating poly rhythms that you can't do on your
average drum machine. Sort of like the Wavestation meets the MPC. They
might even replace your drum machine!
