ZOOM Introduces Four Analog Distortion Pedals

UF-01, PD-01, TM-01. and HL-01
May 24, 2001

Known for their design and technology in digital signal processing, Zoom plants it foot firmly in the analog arena with a line of distortion pedals that run the gamut from warm and smooth as an overdriven tube to sharp and biting as a hammerhead shark, all housed in rugged, all metal boxes.

The PD-01 Power Drive with its warm fat silky sustain sings with balanced natural harmonics. The secret is an ingenious circuit design that boosts your signal and filters out thin spiky harmonics leaving only sweet classic tone. An active EQ allows for precise control over tone.

The TM-01 Tri Metal uses its three stage cascading gain circuit to accentuate heavy phrases as it is best matched for lower register and 7-string guitar voicings. Power Chords maintain detail and leads soar with well defined distortion.

Zoom touts the HL-01 Hyper Lead as their best Fat Stack Lead sound ever produced. This pedal features warmth and aggressive punch to cut through the biggest of bands and sail your sustaining solos on top and out front.

The UF-01 Ultra Fuzz is the Fuzz box for the new millennium. Using the Color, Tone and "Reso" controls, any fuzz, past or present, can be emulated. But with the use of the variable Gate effects control, sounds only dreamed of can be obtained.

Each pedal features control over gain, level and tone, a status LED and runs on a 9V battery.

The new pedals have an MSRP of $164.99.
