ASIO FX Processor from SpinAudio

SpinAudio announced the release of ASIO FX Processor, an application for turning a PC with audio card into a real-time
multi-effect processor.
ASIO FX Processor is a standalone application that allows you to stream audio from a sound card input to the sound card output while passing it
through a chain of four VST plugins. The streaming is based on Steinberg's ASIO 2.0 interface technology, so using a
professional audio with optimized ASIO drivers it is possible to process audio in real-time with a latency down to a few
milliseconds.
ASIO FX Processor supports running multiple instances, so if you need to process more than one input you can run
another ASIO FX Processor instance and set it to take sound from other input. The outputs can be the same - ASIO driver
will mix the signals automatically and in-sync. The state of the application that includes loaded plugins, their state and
setups, midi map and I/O routing can be saved as setup file, so that you can quickly restore the multi-instance
configurations.
The application provides automation of plugin parameters through MIDI, so you can use your external MIDI controller or a
sequencer through a loop-back driver to change plugin parameters in real-time. A convenient MIDI map editor with a learn
function is available within the application.
ASIO FX Processor precedes a product called Virtual Mixing Console preliminary planned to be released in Q3, 2002.
