Introducing Meinl's Line of Fibercraft Congas
 September 7, 2002With their traditionally belly shaped shell, the new Meinl Fibercraft Congas are designed to produce a brilliant tone with sharp slaps and fat open tones. In high volume environments the fiberglass congas cut through due to their extended range. Another advantage of fiberglass shells is readily apparent during a live performance when the temperature is raised by hundreds of lights. Percussionists on tour will also appreciate the light weight of fiberglass congas.
The new Meinl Fibercraft Series Congas come in the sizes 11" Quinto, 11 3/4" Conga, 12 1/2" Tumba, are available with 4mm SSR rounded rims or traditional TTR rims and feature 10mm strong tuning lugs. Included is furthermore the patented Meinl Conga Saver, the Meinl Tune Up Oil, and a L-shaped tuning key. Available colors are "Sterling Silver" (as pictured), and Midnight Blue.
