The recently formed company JMUK Ltd. has introduced their first product shipping product under the Promeek brand, the P3 Pro Channel. Expected to be hitting store shelves on January 31, 2003, the P3 is a half-rack size unit that offers a mic/instrument preamp, optical compressor, and active EQ all in one.
The input stage of the P3 is a new 4-stage CurrentSense design capable of accepting microphone level signals (phantom power included) as well as unbalanced line level
signals.
The compressor is an optical design featuring an attack control (compression ratios going from about 1.2:1 to 7:1), release times ranging from 125 ms to 1.5 seconds, and an on/off switch. The equalization stage is phase corrected with high and low shelving correction plus a mid control.
P3 features
- +48V phantom power for use with studio microphones and DI boxes
- 'CurrentSense' mic pre amplifier for superb response from all microphones
