Steinberg has introduced V-STACK, a
unique new virtual 32-Bit rack for up to 16 VST instruments.
This virtual instrument rack is designed for VST System Link networks and is
the latest member of Steinberg's VST product family. V-STACK
offers slots for 16 VST instruments which can be used either
in stand-alone mode or in conjunction with other computers via
VST System Link in "slave" mode. V-STACK supports VST, VST 2.0
and DirectX, and turns an ordinary PC into a virtual
instrument station, on which VST instruments can even be
played "live" without the need for a sequencer application.
V-STACK Features
- Mixer with up to 200 or more channels* plus 4 group channels (*depends on the performance of the host computer)
- Supports up to 16 VST Instruments
- 8 send effects, 5 insert effects per audio channel, 4 master effect slots
- VST System Link support
- Real-time support for VST, VST2 and DirectX plug-ins
V-STACK is available from November 2002 on CD for EUR 59.90,
or as a download for EUR 49.90.
