Everly Music Introduces B-52 Rockers Guitar and Bass Strings
March 25, 2003
Everly Music Company announced a new line of instrument strings designed to provide better tarnish resistance compared to standard nickel-plated steel.
52% iron mixed with 48% nickel is the formula for "Alloy-52". This magnetically active alloy resists tarnish up to three times over it's nickel-plated steel predecessor and delivers more sustain and overtones than the old King.
Fueled by Phil Everly's (of the Everly Brothers) desire for perfection, Everly Music winds the B-52's (and all their string products for that matter) on their own machines.
According to the company, the strings have no real break in period, they deliver a fat, rich tone right from the first tuning. 9's sound like 10's, 10's sound like 11's etc, and they last and last.
Everly delivers these strings in all standard sizes for an MSRP of $10.99
