FleXor Adds Dozens of New Modules to SCOPE Modular Synths September 23, 2003
The new development company Adern has announced FleXor, a powerful set of
over 70 new modules ready to load into CreamWare's Modular synthesizer
systems. The new features include granular synthesis, audio shaping tools,
a filter collection, the possibility to
draw wavetables with the mouse, and much more. The new sonic possibilities
are demonstrated with over 40 ready to use patches which are part of the
FleXor package.
FleXor contains many types of synthesis modules and processors such as
Oscillators, Shapers, Filters, Sequencers, Modulators, FX, Granulators and
various other tools. Some highlights:
- Displacer, a granular processing module, that slices an audio signal into 16 steps, and then plays the steps in different orders. It can make music sound backward, slowed down, sped up, time scrambled, formant twisted, cross-flammed and so on.
- LP-8 Butter, a low-pass filter which brings analog qualities to the Modular.
- NBL WaveDraw enables you to draw with the mouse any oscillator shape you wish. Great for biting raw digital waveforms which remind of those classic digital wavetable synthesizers with all their charming aliasing and jittering side-effects.
- Harmonic Wave Shapers transform audio signals from subtle to intense, by manipulating the amplitude only, with no use of filters or delay lines of any kind. From two-dimensional wavetables and harmonic sweeps to screeching distortions and total audio demolition.
FleXor is available in the CreamWare Online Shop at www.creamware.com for
99 Euro. It requires a DSP system of the CreamWare SCOPE Fusion Platform
with the Modular V2 or Modular III installed. Detailed information, sound
examples, pictures and new modules and patches are available at
www.adern.com.
