Carl Martin Unveils Anniversary Edition Hot Drive 'n Boost
July 14, 2003
The Year 2003 marks Carl Martin's 10th year in the industry, and to celebrate, the company has created the Hot Drive 'n Boost MKIII Anniversary Edition with a totally new circuit design.
The unit was developed to produce a tighter, less saturated overdrive with a pronounced midrange (in comparison to the MKI and MKII, which have more gain on tap). The sound is designed to be similar to a vintage amp that yields a warm sounding harmonic structure. Guitarists who seek a less aggressive overdrive tone will find the MKIII a good choice for live and/or studio work.
The unit also features blue LED's and a "clean out" for players who wish to split their signal (Wet/Dry) into two amps. The "boost" feature allows you to get that extra "kick" (up to 22db) for solos to really stand out.
List Price: $240
