Ashdown is putting much of the ABM series' power and performance, and almost all of the tone, into its competitively priced MAG range of bass heads, cabs and combos. The MAG range is now bigger and better than ever.
First, all MAG combos and heads get a powerful new 307 watts RMS fan-cooled output section, equipping them to take any medium-sized venue in their stride.
Second, the MAG 115, 210 and 410 are now built extra-deep (420mm/16.5 inches) for even greater bottom-end performance.
And finally there's a new MAG300R rack-mounting bass amp head, providing touring players with a powerful, affordable amplifier that can be conveniently racked with effects, etc.
The new MAG rack-mounting head shares facilities with a standard MAG300 amp head and three MAG combos -- a 1x15", a 2x10" with tweeter and a 4x10" with tweeter. Inputs for active and passive instruments are complemented by 5 band EQ, Bright and Deep switches, a switchable sub-harmonic generator with variable level control, a balanced DI output, FX loop, tuner/line out and the trademark Ashdown illuminated VU meter.
All MAG combos have extension speaker outputs and, like the new 'Deep' cabinets, are loaded with Ashdown BlueLine speakers for exceptional attack, clarity and low-end performance. Protection is provided by tough black carpet covering and new steel grilles, while amp chassis are constructed from strong yet light, heat-dissipating magnesium alloy for roadie-free portability.
