New MIDI-Controlled Switcher from Advance Tube Tech
November 5, 2003
Advance Tube Technology has introduced the MIDILOOP, an audio switcher/looper which can be controlled either
via MIDI, or with an external switch
The MIDILOOP is especially suited for setups including external pedal effect pedals, multiple amplifiers and any
musical equipment that needs to be quickly switched in and out the signal chain: with a single click from your
midi controller, set all your effects pedals on or off and choose the best amp for your sound.
Using MIDI control won't limit your spontaneity: by means of the "remote" input jack, you can still switch the
effects on the fly, and the next midi command will bring back the settings you stored in one of the 128 memory
location.
MIDILOOP's own audio circuitry works completely in passive mode, with relays and resistors only: the sound
always remains free from unwanted colorations.
Multiple MIDLOOP units can be used with a single power adapter, by means of its power-link, or MIDI phantom
power.
Features:
- SOFT mode, for clickless switching
- All passive audio circuitry ensures unaffected, true to the source audio signal path
- Noiseless operation, with two ground lift switches for effective hum suppression: audio or digital circuit.
- Operates on MIDI phantom power, and provides MIDI phantom power to other equipment
- Ultra easy operation, with clear labeling of the functions on the main panel
- 128 memory locations.
