M-Audio is now shipping its new ProSessions
sound + loop libraries. The ProSessions sound + loop libraries deliver inspiration across
a wide variety of genres and styles including hip-hop dance, pop, Latin,
R&B, rap, drum & bass, techno, world beat and more. Designed with
songwriters, producers and remixers in mind, each ProSessions sample
is edited by hand for rock-solid
professional timing and easy integration into other grooves. Each CD
delivers over 400MB of samples in multiple formats for today's
Mac and PC software--AIFF, WAV, REX2 and ACIDized WAV.
The initial CD-ROM titles in the ProSessions sound + loop libraries include:
Vol. 1--Discrete Drums: World Rock and Percussion delivers rock drums from star-maker producers and engineers. The disc includes drum song sections and matching percussion
loops, along with the individual samples to roll your own. Drummer Chris
McHugh and percussionist Eric Darken are produced by Rick DiFonzo (Roger
Waters, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Joan
Osborne) and engineered by Steve Marcantonio (John Lennon, J. Geils, Belinda
Carlisle, Lita Ford, Duane Eddy, Vince Gill, Heart) at Nashville's famed
Sound Kitchen.
Vol. 2--Discrete Drums: R&B Drums and Percussion delivers laid-back, funky
grooves. The disc includes drum song sections and matching percussion loops, along
with the individual samples to roll your own. Drummer Chris McHugh and
percussionist Eric Darken are produced by Rick DiFonzo (Roger Waters, Mick
Jagger, Bob Dylan, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Osborne) and
engineered by Steve Marcantonio (John Lennon, J. Geils, Belinda Carlisle,
Lita Ford, Duane Eddy, Vince Gill, Heart) at Nashville's Sound
Kitchen.
Vol. 3--These Drums Are Loud delivers natural pop/rock drum loops recorded
and edited with one goal in mind--instant inspiration for your songwriting
sessions. Most of these grooves include song sections and other
variations for arrangement flexibility, as well as fills, rides and/or
crashes. Natural room reverb puts the icing on the cake.
Vol. 4--Worldbeat Cafe offers a tropical blend of Caribbean and
Brazilian rhythms, including full- and partial-mix grooves and variations to
build song sections. This collection emphasizes popular Latin percussion
instruments including congas, quintos, tumbas, timbales, cowbells,
handbells, bongos, claves, agogo bells, triangles, chekeres, and a variety
of shakers and ganzas. Also featured are lesser-known percussion instruments
such as surdo, pandeiro, tamborim, Udu, ankle bells, cajon, and more.
Vol. 5--Latin Element sizzles with a huge palette of instruments
and rhythmic loops from south of the border--tejano, salsa, Latin-jazz,
merengue, Afro-Cuban and more. Add some of the that popular Latino spice to
your hip-hop, R&B, drum & bass, house and other electronic dance music--or
turn up the heat in traditional Latin songs.
Vol. 6--Latin Street delivers a deep, funky vibe packed out with pure Latin
hip-hop and R&B nastiness. Produced by Latin
songwriter/composers, James Galvez, this array of loop-based tracks
and one-shots blends and destroys musical boundaries.
Vol. 7 & 8--Hydrosonix Discs 1 & 2 (sold separately) throw down a progressive
mixture of hip-hop, trip-hop and R&B--all thoroughly modern, yet
organic and sexy. Sultry samples soar over funky, head-bobbing
grooves. Bass, guitar, synths, leads, FX and more accent cutting-edge
hip-hop lab work. This CD is jammed with smooth grooves, music loops, drum
loops, beats & breaks, one-shots and tons more.
Vol. 9 & 10--Hella Bumps Disc 1 & 2 (sold separately) deliver a
toolkit for hip-hop/rap artists. You get
tight drum kits, including killer individual samples to
construct your own kits. There's also a slew of unique new melodies and
thick bass lines.
Vol. 11--Mechanically Separated is an edgy, moody industrial aberration. Strange and dangerous, angry and dark, yet
thoroughly musical. An entrancing juxtaposition of imagery and energy built
on a foundation of intermingled repulsion and desire. These sounds, textures and sonic tools are loving
explorations of decay, emptiness, and fear.
Vol. 12--Electro Crash is loaded with analog sounds, loops and effects to
pour that special juice onto your electronic tracks. This collection was
made exclusively using vintage analog synthesizers and drum machines with
the assistance of analog and digital sequencers and control voltage and gate
converters--no software synthesizers were used. You get REX files for use in
Reason, Cubase and Logic, as well as individual samples for use with other
programs and hardware samplers.
Vol. 13--Vector Field offers up a strange brew where dangerous synths meet
melodic outcries, twisted nature and psychoacoustics. These 21st Century
electron flows were created exclusively with a collection of analog machines
from Korg, Oberheim, Sequential Circuits, Yamaha, Metasonix and Studio
Electronics. Absolutely no virtual synths were used in the creation of this
CD.
Vol. 14--Sounds Logickal is a deviant collection of sounds culled from the
library of raw software experiments, abused synthesizers and hacked samples
of artist/producer Jeremy Dickens. Dickens' recording project, Logickal,
explores the more experimental side of techno and electronica--exploiting
technological failures and glitches in the pursuit of new dance music. This
collection includes everything from otherworldly ambient weirdness to
laid-back loops to off-kilter funky grooves.
The ProSessions sound + loop libraries are available now. Each title
retails for $49.95 MSRP.
