New from Advance Tube Technology, the S640 MIDI Switcher puts five independent switches under MIDI
control, in a small half-rack sized box.
Ideally suited for switching channels on guitar amplifiers while simultaneously changing patches on MIDI controllable
effects, and for controlling any non-midi equipment that features bypass/channel-switch jacks, the S640
sports a front panel interface which allows easy and fast operation of the unit.
The settings for each switch can be stored in any of the 128 available memory slots, and can be instantly
recalled using a MIDI footboard, or any midi program changer.
Each of the five switches on the unit can be used in two modes:
- Static: the switch is either closed or open, depending on the user-stored setting.
- Momentary: the switch is always open, only when the program is recalled it closes for a fraction of a second, then opens again.
An aux connector, placed on the back panel, accepts a 15 pins multipolar cable that can be optionally
used instead of the five jacks inputs to reduce the number of cables in use.
Using a standard DIN 7-pins cable, the S640 MIDI switcher can feed phantom power to
the devices connected to the MIDI-IN port which support this feature.
The unit runs on 500mA 12V DC; the AC adapter is included.
