WCR Pickups Introduces the HERC Set
May 2, 2004WCR's (Wagner Custom Rewinds') latest pickup design is the HERC set, which takes their name from Michael Calhoun (aka the HERC) from the Axe House, who helped with the design of these new passive humbuckers.
The two humbuckers in the HERC set are designed to be used primarily with contemporary high-gain amps with the mid-scoop/pronounced bottom end, but will work with all other types as well. They are completely passive, and no batteries are required.
Built with ceramic magnets, the HERC pickups are hand-wound and offer four conductor plus ground wiring connections. The bobbins are available in black, zebra, and reverse zebra color schemes in various combinations, with covers available separately. The neck pickup runs at about 12.5kOhm, and costs $155.00. Bridge is about 17.5kOhm, and costs $195.00.
Set is $340.00.
