KARMA Software Updated with Virtual MIDI Device

Karma Lab has released an update to both
KARMA MW and KARMA Triton--the PC/Mac-based software applications that allow
owners of the popular Korg Karma and Korg TRITON series to generate new
phrases, grooves and other musical effects that can be altered and
randomized in real-time. The new version (1.2.1), a free download for
existing users, is bundled with a new Virtual MIDI Device (VMD) giving
Windows users the ability to instantly integrate the KARMA software with any
MIDI-enabled software synth, sampler, or sequencer.
In addition to playing KARMA's grooves, arpeggios, and other musical
patterns on a Korg Karma or Korg TRITON, owners of these keyboards can now
take advantage of KARMA's ability to send MIDI directly to any Windows-based
soft synths and samplers. For example, use your favorite KARMA Generated
Effects (GE's) to create and manipulate techno arpeggios in
Project5, bass lines in Reason, or pad effects in
Kontakt -- to name a few. Alternatively, route KARMA's MIDI output directly
to Sonar, Cubase, or any other sequencer for further slicing, dicing, and
looping. The KARMA's VMD behaves just like any other MIDI device which means
you can even MIDI clock-sync the KARMA application to applications such as
Live.
KARMA MW and KARMA Triton applications require that a Korg Karma or Korg
TRITON be connected to your PC/Mac. However, the introduction of Karma Lab's
Virtual MIDI technology represents an important milestone in the company's
progress towards a universal KARMA application.
Pricing and Availability
KARMA MW 1.2.1 and KARMA Triton 1.2.1 are available as free updates for
existing users and can be downloaded at the company's website. New users can
purchase KARMA MW directly from Karma Lab for US $149, and KARMA Triton for
