June 10, 2004The newest addition to M-Audio's
Keystation series of products, the Keystation 61es, is now available. This control
solution can be used with or without a computer.
The Keystation 61es features a 5-octave semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive
keyboard that offers improved performance response compared to basic keybed
designs. Performance controls include a pitch bend wheel, assignable
modulation wheel, assignable slider control, and assignable foot pedal
connection. The unit also features transposition buttons and the ability to
send program and bank change messages. Weighing in at just 11 lbs. (5 kg),
Keystation 61es is equally suited for mobile and studio use.
Class compliancy under Windows XP or Mac OS X enables the user to get
started immediately--no driver installation required. Since the unit features
USB bus power, setup for use with any MIDI application is as simple as
plugging in the USB cable. Drivers are also included for Windows
95/98/Me/2000 and Mac OS 9.1 users. The optional power supply also allows
the Keystation 61es to be used as a stand-alone controller for hardware
synthesizers and more. Keystation 61es ships with M-Audio's Maximum Audio
Tools software bundle to allow users to instantly start creating music.
The Keystation 61es is currently shipping and carries an MSRP of $199.95.
