Modelonia is a novel physical-modelling synthesizer
which uses a hybrid of two distinct model 'types' - a
plucked-string model, and a blown-bore (i.e. trumpet-type) model.
Each model may be used simultaneously, and the signal
path allows cross-modulation between the two models for more
interesting and complex tones.
Modelonia is not simply an emulation of acoustic
instruments.
Advanced physical modeling has been used to enable
the creation of lively and expressive new sounds, and harmonic textures.
The interface has been designed to be as easy and
helpful as possible for newcomers to this synthesis technology.
Modelonia is designed to be the first compact multi-purpose
virtual sythesizer which use the physical-modelling technique
as the only sound source and does not enhance it with multi-effects
or sweepable filters (VFC in the Subctractive tradition),
Modelonia sound shaping ability relies solely on physical-modelling.
Modelonia comes with a bank of 96 default presets
plus a Sound Wizard to get started creating
several different families of sounds.
The price is 145 USD,
but a special price of 99 USD is available for
registered users
of HarpTime, Microrock, Peti, EMM Knagalis and EVE.
The demo version is available and has the following limitations:
no preset save functionality, a periodic very soft noise
output and higher CPU usage than the full version.
