Expansion Pack Released for Glaresoft's iDrum October 20, 2005
Glaresoft has introduced XRB, a
collection of 256 all-new kits and 2,057 all-new beats
designed for use with their software
drum machine, iDrum. In addition, XRB includes over two thousand drum
and effect samples in industry-standard AIFF format.
The included sounds and beats cover a large range of popular styles,
from breakbeat to house to hip-hop -- even cutting edge genres like
glitch and retro-electro are represented. "We've been at this for over
a year, sampling vintage drum machines, pushing our in-house
sound-design software to the limits, crate-digging, pulling out the
vintage effects, obsessing over every sixteenth note, every swing
setting." said Art Gillespie, Glaresoft's
Creative Director.
XRB's use of the industry standard AIFF audio file format further
extends its usefulness to users of third-party drum machines and
samplers. Each type of drum is organized into a set of
easy-to-navigate directories. This makes it possible to seamlessly
integrate XRB's kicks and snares -- as well as its many exotic
effects samples -- into nearly any sample-based drum machine.
Pricing & Availability
XRB is available immediately for a suggested retail price of $69.95 (US)
directly from Glaresoft and through authorized
Glaresoft dealers.
