EDP300 Bass Drum Pedal from Premier
March 11, 1998Premier recently announced the EDP300, a new bass drum pedal that provides a smooth, fast response. High strength and low weight, it is made from aluminum and zinc.
Rather than the usual metal spring, it uses an elastomer moulding to provide tension. This provides a noiseless and frictionless pull, and requires no maintenance. The pedal is available with three different strengths of elastomer -- hard, medium, and soft.
The EDP300 can be completely customized to a particular drummer, with adjustable beater and footboard settings, elastomer tension, and pedal-to-bass-drum position. There are also fine-tune adjustments for the beater-throw action, leverage, and pressure settings.
It has a separate clamp that can be fixed to the bass drum hoop, allowing the pedal
to be quickly cliped and uncliped for transport.
The choice of two secondary units allow the EDP300 single pedal to be used
as a left-footed or right-footed double bass pedal. Each secondary unit has
a high-quality universal joint linkage and a stabilizing plate. For more information, visit their web site at www.premier-drums.com. |
