Tech 21 Trademark 60 Combo Amp July 12, 1996
The Trademark 60 offers the industry's most desirable tube amp sounds in a 2-channel, 60-watt combo format. Its Boost function expands these two channels to give you 4 footswitchable sound options. Typical of all Tech 21 products, the flexibility of the controls gives you access to tone shaping characteristics to create your own trademark sounds as well. And for studio and live applications, our highly-acclaimed SansAmp(TM) Tube Amplifier Emulation technology enables you to go direct to the mixer of a recorder or PA system.
VINTAGE TO MODERN IN TWO VERSATILE CHANNELS
Channel 1 delivers amp sounds ranging from clean, funk and Stevie Ray Fender(R)-styles, to Mesa/Boogie(R) Mark 1-style, to Wah-Boost Marshall(R)-style. It has its own Drive, Punch and Level controls. Punch sets the amount of midrange break-up and overdrive. The Bite(TM) button tightens the low end and adds brightness.
Channel 2 delivers amp sounds ranging from traditional Marshall(R)-style, to Mesa/Boogie(R) Rectifier-style, to Vox(R) AC30-style. It has its own Drive, Growl(TM) and Level controls. Growl is a powerful and sophisticated midrange control. It can give you that scooped-out, heavy sound without making your guitar sound thin, and without any loss of volume. The Weep(TM) button increases the amount of even harmonics and thickens the sound. It provides a "singing" quality like that of a Class A tube amp.
MASTERFUL MASTER SECTION
Both channels share the Master section, consisting of Low, High, Reverb and Boost controls.
Low and High active EQ controls set the tonal balance of the amp relative to your environment. These controls can easily be adjusted to your own taste and to compensate for any room. You will note the absence of a master mid control, as midrange is individually controlled by Punch in Channel 1, and by Growl in Channel 2.
For solos, Boost increases your output level up to 9dB via the footswitch. For ambiance, the Trademark 60 features the top-ofthe-line, 3-spring Accutronics(R) Reverb.
Our unique Link button connects the Boost and Reverb functions. By engaging Link, Boost and Reverb work in tandem. For solos, in particular, this gives you the option of not only increasing the volume, but increasing the size of your sound as well. When Link is disengaged, you can remotely activate Boost only. Or, you can remotely activate the Reverb only, simply by engaging Link and setting Boost at minimum.
SINGLE SPEAKER: VINTAGE 4x12 CABINET SOUND
Our proprietary SansAmp circuitry captures the warm, rich, natural harmonics and sweet overdrive characteristics Inherent to tube amplifiers, and does so even at low volumes. This circuitry encompasses all aspects of multiply-miked tube amp rigs. By incorporating this technology with our special design 12" speaker, the Trademark 60 sounds as big and smooth as a vintage 4x12 cabinet.
A BUILT-IN DIRECT BOX
For recording, the SansAmp XLR Output allows you to go direct to the board. For live gigs, you can simultaneously plug direct into the PA system, so you won't need a microphone in front of your amp. In larger venues, you'll be able to utilize the PA monitors to supplement your stage volume.
OTHER STUFF
To control your effects, there is a footswitchable Effect Loop with a courtesy power outlet that allows you to neatly stash your pedals in the back of the amp. The Headphone Output for practicing doubles as a 1/4" direct out, should an XLR input not be available on your recorder.
TRIPLE-FUNCTION FOOTSWITCH (included)
Unlike most amps which require a custom multi-pin connector, our triple-function footswitch is engineered to utilize any standard 1/4" instrument or speaker cable. The footswitch alternates between channels, activates the Boost/Reverb function, and engages the Effect Loop.
The exceptionally versatile Trademark 60 gives you a truckload of big amp sounds in an affordable, cost-effective, 36 lb. combo. Above all, the Trademark 60 delivers consistent professional quality sound at home, in the garage, on stage, and in the studio. For more information, visit their web site at www.tech21nyc.com. |
